ROLES AND DUTIES

• Serve as a planning, advisory board
• Coordinate communication of committees and programs to the church
• Help the church understand church’s mission and set priorities
• Develop plans for fulfilling priorities
• Present plans to congregation for approval
• Communicate progress among council members
• Report progress to church membership
• Coordinate church calendar for the year that are consistent with church priorities and considering community and national events
• Foster communication between committees
• Evaluate progress

CHARACTERISTICS & MEMBERSHIP

• Are elected by church membership
• Are representatives of all committees, boards and councils
• Are representatives of RA’s, GA’s, WMU and Baptist Men
• Make a commitment to attend and be a productive member
• Are willing to listen, collaborate, and produce a plan that benefits the church’s mission
