Church Profile ~
Through many hours of discussion through the round table meetings, the congregation has examined and brainstormed the topic of leadership within the church. Subsequent to those conversations, four sub-groups were formed to conduct a more in-depth study of the four areas of leadership:

• Organizational Design
• Leadership Development
• Team Ministry vs Committee Based Design
• Professional Staffing Design

From these discussions an organizational plan for the church was developed. In addition, roles, duties and characteristics were defined for the following three groups:

• Pastor
• Church Council
• Deacons

The church membership realizes that this is a work in progress and that leaders, to be effective, need time and the opportunity to apply the direction of the church.

In addition to the congregation’s work described above, the Pastor Search Team also surveyed the membership for their input on the twelve most important characteristics of a pastor. There were 99 surveys returned. These were compiled and shared with the congregation, and the results can be found in the Survey Results page. The first column shows the number of responses for each survey item. The surveys did not ask for prioritizing the items listed.
